Step 1: Quick Intro & Name Drop Neighbors
They say that you only have 5-10 seconds to make a 1st impression. Better act quick! Using the names of neighbors establishes your credibility as a salesperson.
Step 2: Demonstrate the Product
If you have a product, a demo always helps. If you can’t do a demo, describe your service to build value and interest.
Step 3: Get the Product in their Hand
Getting people to hold or touch your product get them to pass a psychological barrier. Also getting physically close (in an appropriate way) and getting them to physically move breaks down barriers and moves you closer to the sale.
Step 4: Don’t Forget to Smile
A smile never hurts to connect and influence the people you’re selling to.
Step 5: Build Value
Down to the nitty-gritty: explain features and benefits. Help them realize they need what you’re selling!
Step 6: Learn to Overcome Objections
Don’t cave in at the first no a customer gives you. You can still show your clients respect while being persistent. Kenny didn’t let this customer shrug him off easily, he made sure to get through his entire sales process. Kenny demonstrates how you can win someone over with persistence while allowing them to voice their opinion.
Step 7: Close the Deal
ABC: always be closing! You’ve got to ask them to buy. Close the deal and further establish your credibility in that area.
